I am the CEO & Owner of Valerie Martinelli Consulting, LLC in which I am a Job Search and Career Expert, Resume Writer, and a Personal Branding Professional. VMC has been in business since July 13, 2016. The mission at VMC is to provide professionals with the structure and tools to receive equal opportunities, compensation, advancement, and respect in the workplace.

I began my career in nonprofit management and administration and I have a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Connecticut, Master of Public Administration degree from Post University, and an MBA certificate from the Bank of America Institute for Women’s Entrepreneurship at Cornell University. I currently reside in CT and some of my favorite things include art history, puzzles, word games, dogs, and the beach.
My Story & Career Philosophy
I began this work because I was just like you….I faced the “Sunday Scaries” in my career. You know, the dreaded anxiety on Sunday because the weekend is almost over and you hate facing Monday’s because you never know what it will bring. It’s an awful, miserable feeling….hating your job or not feeling appreciated and feeling like you are wasting your time.
I was there as well and this is why I started VMC. I asked myself why I was so unhappy and what I could do to change it…A wise mentor said to me “If not now, when? What are you waiting for?”

Brian Furman is a resume writer and consultant located in Tampa, FL. He has assisted a diverse group of clients during his 15+ years in the industry. His expertise lies in collaborating with clients on resumes, cover letters, LinkedIn profiles, and personal statements, among other career-based documents.
Brian joined the talented team at VMC in May 2021 as a Contract Resume Writer. He has made an immediate impact with superior service, exceeding customer expectations, and ensuring clients are in the best position to move onto the next step in their careers.
Brian is originally from Cleveland, OH and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English from Cleveland State University. His Fiction has been published in several journals and magazines across the country. He has three children, Ian, Sydny, and Asher, and has been married to his wife, Nicole, for 15 years.
